Ankita Lokhande is an Indian TV and film actress.
Ankita was born on 19 December 1984 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to a Maharashtrian family. Ankita’s father Shashikant Lokhande is a banker and mother Vandana Pandis is a teacher. Ankita has two younger siblings, Suraj Lokhande and Jyoti Lokhande. Ankita was fond of acting since childhood. After graduating in 2005, Ankita’s acting worm brought her to Mumbai from Indore. Ankita was also a state-level badminton player during college.
Ankita started her TV career in 2006 with the talent hunt reality show Idea Zee Cinestar. After this, Ankita got the first and big break in the world of TV in Ekta Kapoor’s show Pritha Rishta. Ankita played two roles in this show, Archana and Ankita. Ankita was associated with the show for about 5 years. Ankita became very popular with this show and she came to be known as Ghar – Ghar Archana.
In the year 2011, Ankita appeared in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 4. In the same year, Ankita also appeared, in reality, show Comedy Circus doing standup comedy with Kapil Sharma.
In 2013, Ankita also appeared in Ekta Kapoor’s mini-series ‘Ek Thi Nayaka’ to promote Ekta Kapoor’s film Ek Thi Dyan, in which Ankita played Pragya.
Ankita is going to step into the film world with the film Manikarnika after making her identity with the TV show Pritha Rishta. Ankita is going to be seen playing the role of Jhalkari Bai in the film. Kangana Ranaut will be seen in the lead role in this film. The film will be released in theaters in 2018.
However, it was earlier reported that Ankita will debut in the film world with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavat, but she refused to do the film.

Ankita was in a relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput for about 6 years, although the relationship broke up in 2016 due to any reasons. Ankita and Sushant met on the sets of Pritha Rishta, Sushant played the main character; Manav ‘in the show.
